Hey stinkers!

Hey stinkers!

How are you guys doing today?

I loved that video of you guys out on your bikes! Jack helping Brucie that was so cool!

Have you guys seen any bugs or snakes outside yet?

I saw an old picture of when we went to that park with Rachel and Jack was holding that little snake that was so cool.

😎😎😎

Well we have been busy at the farm doing maple syrup and gathering the sap at night.

I’ve been working on that tractor a bit with Roy, he has been working super hard on the tractor getting it going. Now I’ve got everything I need pretty much ordered just waiting for stuff to come in the mail. I just have to start painting it now.

The horses are all good they are mostly just chilling out in the barnyard eating hay.

We had to go look at little Katie’s horse Harvey. He had a small crack in his foot that she wanted to look at but it was okay. She just needs to put horse hoof moisturizer on it.

Other than that everything is good.

What are you guys up to now? How are you guys doing on your games? Claire and Jack are you still playing that animal game on the computer? The hunting one?

We had to cut some wood for the sugar shack and I found a piece that a woodpecker had chopped out three holes in it. It looks like a traffic light ðŸĪŠ

We are sitting in the sugar shack today boiling the sap down. It’s raining a lot out so it’s a good thing to do today. We have to split a lot of wood to keep the oven hot and the sap boiling. It takes a long time.

I will have to send you guys a bunch of maple syrup and some stuff so you can make pancakes.

Hope you guys have a great day. Text me on your moms phone sometime.

Love you

Katie

Morning!

So we had a long day yesterday in the sugar shack. we boiled the sap down from 7 in the morning until 7 at night. We have a bit more to do today. I'll show you what it takes to get sap turned into syrup.

The lines were frozen so we had to thaw them out before we started
We boil the sap until it is 5 degrees above boiling. It becomes syrup at 7 so we finish it in another pan.

We strain it through a cloth to get anything that was in the sap out.
 This is the pan

This is when it gets to 7 degrees above boiling it does this thing called "Sheeting" That's when its done.
We pour it out in the bucket and dump it into the bottler

Hope you guys have a great day
love you

Hey Kids!

Hey guys!

Jack and Claire this is the tractor that Roy is working on.

This is what we had to do yesterday!

We had to switch the chimney in the roof of the sugar shack because it was rusty. So we used the backhoe to lift it up because it was really heavy.

The silver bottom is the thing we had to change here it is all shiny and new :)
I drove the backhoe up to the sugar shack
Here Justin says Hi

We are starting to boil maple sap for your maple syrup we just lit the fire on the evaporator at 7:00 this morning so that will likely be all day. we probably will finish up there around 8-9 at night.
I hope you guys have a great day

Hey Jack I saw the video where bruce is saying your soo cute it was so funny

I love you stinkers xoxo

Hey!

Hey Guys!

I hope you are enjoying your crazy days not having to go to school and getting to hang out in your pjs! Jack and Claire I saw you were building a fort yesterday it looked amazing! Hey is that tree one that you could climb? The branches looked like you could!

I'm going to send you some photos of what I'm up to now. We are working at the farm with the lambs and stuff i had to catch them yesterday to give them some medicine. Some of them have poopy butts!

Your lambs are doing well. They are getting pretty big!

We let the chickens out yesterday they like being outside.

And Evil says "Hi!"
He is just chilling in the barn

Write back to me and tell me what you want to hear about. We are working on a tractor right now so I have to order parts for that. I will take pictures of it for you. its a real pile of rust but this guy Roy is working on it and he is doing a great job.

Hope you have a great day chilling at your house. Let me know how that fort works out. Have you found anything neat outside?

I love you boogers.
